Back in the late 1970's and all the way into the 1980's millions of tourists travelled to Mallorca every year and thereby turning it into an overcrowded and not so pleasent place to visit. But over the years Mallorca har really reinvented itself and the tourism authorities have turned the island into a high-end lifestyle destination with some of the most exclusive hotels and resorts in the southern part of Europe.
