Some of the world's most respected designers have made quite succesful brand extensions - take for example Italys number one fashion designer Giorgio Armani who has launched his own series of Armani Hotels. The first hotel opened in 2010 within the world's tallest building (so far) the Burj Khalifa in Downtown Dubai.
